We’re talking about parking tickets – a common element of urban living that often goes unnoticed until it’s missing! But with the advent of technology, this process has been replaced in many cities around the world with automated parking systems. In the heart of Australia, Sydney has initiated such state-of-the-art automated parking systems Sydney which is a significant step towards urban advancement.

In a nutshell, an automated parking system refers to a mechanism that minimizes the area required for parking cars. Envision a multi-level, mechanical structure housing the vehicles in a sort of vertical parking garage. It’s compact, efficient, and eliminates the need for the traditional parking lot sprawling across acres of prime real estate.

How do ‘My Tickets‘ fit into this?

The system revolves around the theme ‘my tickets’. As a user, once entering these automated parking facilities, you’re given a ticket which represents your car within the system. Basically, upon parking, you receive a ticket and when you want to get your car back, you simply scan the ticket. With just those actions, the system knows where your car is, brings it right to you, and off you go.

The Essence of ‘My Tickets’

‘My tickets’ concept represents more than just a parking spot. It’s the symbol of a much larger movement towards optimal space usage, efficiency, and even environmental conservation. Considering our planet’s current critical environmental condition, the reduction of necessary asphalt and development space, in turn, helps curtail pollution and support this cause. ‘My tickets’, on the other hand, provides a shield of convenience and an agent of change in this technologically-fuelled mission.

Advantages of the Automated Parking Systems Sydney

They reduce the space required for parking, meaning more green areas or spaces for developments. The process curtails carbon emissions as there is no need for users to circle around searching for parking spaces. Additionally, this automated system reduces possible accidents and vehicular damage often accompanied by traditional parking scenarios.

On a personal level, the ‘my tickets’ policy becomes a assurance of convenience. You have a guaranteed parking space without worrying about time or location. The system runs efficiently, depositing and retrieving cars quickly. They’re fundamentally changing the blueprint of the city and the way we exist within it.

Be a Part of ‘My Tickets’ Revolution

The introduction of automated parking system in Sydney, and the inherent ‘my tickets’ service feature, is a testament to the city’s dedication to advancing urban design. Bacall Associates – Travel Guide in Singapore

by

Victoria Pratten

While most people come here for a couple of days just to do Singapore, I love this city and think it deserves longer than that. Theres a lot to do here, some great parks by the Malaysian border, and incredible (and cheap) Chinese and Indian food. Singapore is also moving beyond its sterile image and fast becoming a city with world-class nightlife.

Typical Costs

Accommodation Accommodation isnt cheap in Singapore. A night in a hostel dorm will cost around 15-30 SGD, and a budget hotel starts at 50 SGD for a basic double room with fan. Most hotels here are around 80-110 SGD per night.

Food There are plenty of low-cost eateries around Singapore with street stalls typically selling food for less than 6 SGD per meal. Chinese and Indian food is usually around 8-9 SGD per meal. Most casual restaurants are around 20 SGD and after that, the sky is the limit.

Transportation There are plenty of buses and taxis around Singapore, but the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) runs the length and breadth of the country. MRT tickets vary in price, as they are based on the distance traveled, but generally cost around 4 SGD.

Activities On the whole, activities in Singapore are not that expensive. Some, like the Singapore Botanical Gardens and Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, are free. Entrance to Singapore Zoo is 32 SGD and Underwater World is 29 SGD.

Money Saving Tips

Take public transit Travel on public transport is just 10 SGD per day for tourists with a Singapore Tourist Pass. This will get you unlimited rides on a number of buses and trains.

Eat on Smith Street The stalls here offer food for less than 6 SGD and are a great place to sample local snacks.

Eat cheap Save money on food by eating in Little India, Chinatown, or the hawker stalls throughout the town. Meals in these places cost only a few dollars.

Top Things to See and Do

Visit Singapore Zoo This zoo is one of the best in the world and also one of the top attractions in Singapore. Covering an area of 70 acres, this place is huge and has a vast array of animals: over 3,600 mammals, birds and reptiles. The zoos night safaris are hugely popular, offering visitors the chance the get up close and personal with nocturnal animals. Entrance to the zoo and a night safari costs 71 SGD. Watch out though, theres no food around here and since you have to wait for the night safari to begin, you get stuck eating the overpriced zoo food. See the zoo in the morning and come back at night for the safari.

Eat at the Boat Quay Boat Quay is a hive of activity and is the place to go for dining and entertainment. The alfresco pubs and restaurants also make Boat Quay ideal for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Be sure to bring a camera to capture the imposing skyscrapers and bizarre statues along the riverside.

Hang out (and party) on Sentosa This little island getaway is popular with locals and tourists alike. Head to the Tiger Sky Tower, Asias tallest observation tower. At 450 feet, it offers amazing views over Singapore and Sentosa. The Underwater World aquarium is the main attraction on the island; walk through tunnels below sharks, piranhas and eels. Universal Studios is also located on the island. You have to pay to get on to Sentosa. The cost to get there on the Sentosa Express is 4 SGD.

Admire Thian Hock Keng Temple Stunning architecture makes Thian Hock Keng one of the most photogenic buildings youre likely to see in Singapore. The temple was made from the finest materials and best craftsmen that China had to offer around the time of its construction in the 1840s. The temple was designated as a national monument in 1973.

This is a very subjective title for an article since so much depends on the individual’s idea as to what makes an ideal holiday. There are even a small minority who would say that their ideal way to spend time away from their normal jobs would be simply spend time staying at home with the freedom to do whatever they like, whenever they feel like doing it. This might not seem so strange when you consider that many of our major urban centers are also holiday destinations in their own right.

Holidays Away From Home

For those of us who (for whatever reason) wish to get away from our home surroundings during any reasonably long vacation; the world is literally our oyster – given that our vacation time is long enough and our budget is reasonably unrestricted. This means that we cannot all say – “let’s go a long way away from Australia this year and spend at least a month there”. However, there are destinations nearer to home that can be afforded by most people in terms of cost and the time away from work that the boss will approve.

Stay In Australia; Or, Go Overseas

We are blessed in Australia with a climate that does not really dictate our holiday plans. For example, when taking a summer vacation; you do not need to travel to (say) Bali simply to guarantee sunshine and warm weather. We can get both of those without the possible hassles of international travel. So, if our first step was to decide to stay in Australia; the next step will be to decide which part we would like to be in for our vacation.

Then, we need to decide the dates that we will be on vacation and how much budget to allow for it. Travel costs and accommodation are normally the major budgetary items.

A Combination Of A Beach Holiday And Some Eco Tourism

If this is your choice for an ideal vacation; have you considered the Noosa National Park? It is located in Queensland some 120 km or so north of Brisbane and covers some 4,000 hectares in the general area of Noosa Heads. The park has four distinct sections:- East Weyba, Emu Mountain, Peregian and the Headland section. It is the most popular national park in Australia and receives more than 1 million visitors per year. However, since camping is not allowed within the Park boundaries; you would be well advised to take steps to book your accommodation before arrival. This can be done easily online by contacting one the area’s specialised agencies (such as the Netanya Noosa resort).
